The New York Times
chose Graffigna Grand Reserve as one of the
Top Ten Malbec from Argentina
The reputed journal The New York Times ranked Graffigna
Grand Reserve 2004 among the Top Ten Argentine Malbec in
the section “Dining In” on June 11th. Graffigna Grand
Reserve was the only wine from San Juan and one of the more
expensive among the selected labels.
The New York Times wrote a few lines about the performance of
our product “In our pick of Argentine wines, nine out of ten come
from the province of Mendoza (…) but the exception was the Graffigna
Grand Reserve 2004 from San Juan, one of the more expensive
bottles in our Top 10 ranking.”
The project in the US market started two years ago and the product was
finally relaunched in 2008 with a $500,000 investment. Projected sales
for this year in the US climb to 25,000 9 liters cases. The final target
is to become the top Argentine winnery in the US in the segment of wines
over $12 through the lines Graffigna Grand Reserve and Graffigna Centenario.
The development projections of Graffigna received a wink of approval
when last April the Graffigna Centenario Malbec 2005 was
awarded a score of 90 points by the famous Wine News Magazine.
The wine team, together with Victor Marcantoni and Gerardo
Danitz would like to thank and congratulate all the members
of the company for the recognition granted to Graffigna Grand
Reserve 2004 which constitutes a landmark of corporate performance
and reflects the efforts and professional work of Graffigna and Pernod
Ricard people.
